The Brief
For Carmela, food and home cooking have always been at the heart of family life. After years of being told she should sell her incredible homemade meals, she finally took the plunge—launching a home-based Italian takeaway, delivering straight from her kitchen.
Cooking is in her blood. She learned from her mamma, who moved to the UK from Italy in the ’50s, passing down generations of knowledge and tradition. When it came to branding, she wanted something professional and timeless—something that reflected the classic Italian brands she grew up with while also building trust within the local community.



The Approach
Heritage was central to Carmela’s brand, reinforcing quality and tradition. I used a classic Italian Art Deco-inspired font with a handwritten script for authenticity, paired with earthy tones inspired by fresh ingredients and home cooking.
To add personality, menus featured a short mission statement in Carmela’s own words, highlighting her love for cooking. Social media templates embraced a real, home-cooked feel, complementing non-studio photography. I also designed food packaging, including labels for her chilli oil and takeaway boxes, ensuring a professional and cohesive brand experience.





The Outcome
The final brand celebrates Carmela’s heritage, building trust with the local community while showcasing her expertise. With cohesive marketing materials, she now has everything she needs to promote her business and share her passion for Italian home cooking with the world.
